Visas & Travel

Full information about visas for Australia are available from the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

If you require an invitation letter for the conference in order to apply for a visa in your country then please contact the Conference administration with your details and request.

Most participants will be able to apply for a visa on-line.

Climate

At the time of the conference the climate in Australia is winter with average temperatures of Max 18C/63F and Min 8C/46F. Winter temperature ranges are very pleasant, with the overnight temperature sometimes dropping below 6°C.


Campus and Hotel Location

The Australian School of Business is located at the Kensington campus of UNSW. The Kensington campus is lacated 4.5 km from the Sydney CBD (Downtown) and 5 km from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (International and Domestic).

The cost of a taxi from the airport to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Coogee Beach, the main conference hotel, is about $20 to $25.

The campus is well served by public transport (buses).

The best way to get to your hotel from the airport is either by taxi or airport shuttle.

Travel in and around Sydney

There are many tourist activities available in and around Sydney.

While in Sydney some activities include:


Do the Bridgeclimb,

Visit the Opera House,

Ferry trip on Sydney Harbour,

Visit to the Zoo,

Catch the Manly Ferry to Manly,

Have lunch at Bondi Beach,

Walk around South Head, Watson’s Bay

Take a bus to the Northern Beaches

Tour the Olympic Stadium


Close to Sydney you may wish to do some day trips to the:


Hunter Valley vineyards,

Blue Mountains,

South Coast and Wollongong,

Dubbo and Western Plains Zoo.


And while in Australia you should consider visiting:


Central Australia – Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Olgas, Kings Canyon;

Darwin and Kakadu National Park
Cairns and Great Barrier Reef
Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road

The natural wilderness of Tasmania
